Easter eggs#1169

We all know what easter eggs are in games, and some could be fun in Volcanoids !
This is a general post for all easter eggs that could be on the map. Have an idea ? Post it here, in the comments ! Other standalone posts will be merged here to organize everything.

What about an Easter egg where near one of those destroyed drillships that was leaked a while back (picture below) you could find a dead cog on the ground but when you walk past it, it grabs your foot for a few seconds before letting go.

?

Could work with my broken cog suggestion

Just thought of another one, what if you could find cheat codes around the map hidden in places that you could enter in the menu in game, like one to get all guns, or a drillship core, or invincibility, infinite stamina, you get the idea. And they could be found in things like caves or on rocks or carved into trees, but not to where they’re obvious. This would also make it so you can’t earn achievements so you can’t just cheat on them

No. Cheats break immersion. They’re just bad for gameplay. And we don’t even have access to the commands, so don’t expect them to tell you how to activate cheats ingame.
That just can’t happen. It can’t work. Nobody in their right mind would do this. I mean come on, we already have mods which are basically cheats if you want them to be !

What do you mean nobody would add cheats? Tons of games have cheat codes you can enter to get things like infinite health or infinite ammo

Ingame cheat codes are a horrible idea for games like volcanoids and wouldn’t just creative mode be better than cheatcodes?

Ehh I guess so, I still like the idea of cheat codes being added you could have a lot of fun with them but at the end of the day it all comes down to what the devs think I guess. Still rooting for it though

Some games do have them, yes. But Volcanoid has expressely rejected the demand of having commands, because people would report bugs that are caused by things that aren’t supposed to happen. That’s the main reason.

In themselves, cheats aren’t bad. I mean, they can be really useful in Subnautica, Minecraft… But putting them ingame makes strictly no sense. That would only work in The Stanley Parable, maybe.
