Menu background shows player progress#972

This would change the main menu screen in the following way.
Main Menu where it shows the sailor an drillship would change to the current “later customized/gear up” players looks/gender and behind them show the current state/look of the players Drillship “condition/Build”. This would help jump into hte immersion of the game an personalize the menu somewhat more to each player.

[optional idea] Maybe even add in a flag blowing in the air that will have the players current logo on display.

This falls under two different posts, I don’t know what to do with it.

The main menu is a pre-recorded video. Making it as you suggest would make it an actual render, meaning that low-end PCs would lag out even on the menu which isn’t great.
There’s also the issue of having multiple saves. I have all my save slots used, which one would the menu use ?

the game could randomly take photos ( 5-10 photos ) when the drill is deploying packing under attack dive and coming up ) then the last saved save will load the photos to cycle in the loading screen

That actually sounds somewhat doable, by having specific fixed camera positions from the Drillship, and taking pictures at certain moments in the game, like after taking down a laser.
