Scrap metal of all kinds stacks more efficiently than metal ingots which is counter-intuitive.#967

?

Scrap has a stack size of 20.
One scrap makes two ingots.
Ingots also have a stack size of 20.
Therefore, to efficiently store metal for future use, players should either not craft ingots from scrap, or turn all ingots they make into a single type of component (bolts/tubes/plates) which do stack better and scrap them back into ingots whenever another type of component is required.

Likely the best solution would be to raise bar stack size to 50. Components such as bolts, tubes and plates all have a stack size of 50 already.

Agreed to balancing scrap stack size, heavily disagree on upping stack size of ingots. I think components stack size should be decreased as well. There’s already too much storage space and things stack too high. It should all be consistent, but not easy.

In that case, assuming 20 for components as well, scrap should probably be 10 if scrap will still result in two ingots. That way there is incentive to not store them as scrap since ingots can be used for producing other items.

Speaking of stack size shenanigans, gonna make another suggestion real quick.
