Maybe make a explosive pack you can put onto parts of an enemy drill that lets you destroy all modules for that compartment side? Or maybe it would soften them up to reduce the time it takes to fully destroy a drill?

By “drill”, do you mean the actual drill part of the drillship or the entire drillship itself?

In case of the latter you can already sort of do this by running around the ship and throwing explosives.

Good news : this has been ingame for two years !
