T2 Storage Module is size 2, grants 72 storage space and costs 5 core points. That’s 36 storage and 2,5 core per size.
T3 Storage Module is size 3, grants 96 storage space and costs 5 core points.
That’s only 32 storage but 1,67 core per size.
Conclusion: unless module options are limited by core points, T2 Storage Module provides more storage space than T3 for the same hull coverage.
Their storage balance was inspired by this post #196, but they kinda just changed numbers around and said “here we go” and even in my opinion it didn’t fix much. I agree that it needs yet again a new balance change.
And once again, that’s not a bug.
The current ratio per size is essentially:
T1: 1
T2: 1,5
T3: 1,33
Swap T2 and T3 ratios and you got a working system. Since a unit in this case is 24 (one T1 module) which can both be divided by 2 and 3, it’s very easy; T2 should provide a total of 64 space while T3 should provide a total of 108 space. Alternatively decrease the ratios or the T1 base storage further if storage space is deemed too abundant.
