Dispenser settable transfer amount#945

Instead of getting a stack of the chosen items, would be nice to have an option to set up the exact amount of items you want to get at once. Similar to the option we have on automation HUBs.

I can see this being useful, but can’t think of any example situations right now.
I also think the display menu should just show the amount you set to be dispensed, not a x/x.
It’s also a bit tricky when it comes to showing how much it’s going to display on the dial, because it currently displays how much is in storage. There’s no room to display how much it’s going to dispense, even though I feel like it’s necessary.

A situation that I faced on multiplayer, it’s that I made an automation to build ammo and armor and dispenses it when I need, so I set to build just 2 armor, and when I get it from dispenser, it gets 2 instead of getting only 1 and kepping the other for another player. A feature like that would be really useful.

And for the limitations that you pointed out, it’s really tricky. Adjusts on the look of it will be probably necessary, and I don’t know if it’s viable. Anyways, it’s just an idea, hope you guys like and maybe implement one day in the future.

You could display the dispensed amount if the capsule had a number on itself. That or a counter on the bottom side of the device under the capsule.
