Gunner seat improvements#943

The gunner seat is a lot of fun to use, and it’s really well made. But I can still think of some improvements it could have that would make it even better and friendly to use !

- Drillship overview

I think it would be really nice to have an overview of the ship and the turrets installed on it, so you can clearly see where you are looking, what turrets you’ll go to when scrolling up or down (The turret where you are has a red dot, and the turrets you’ll go to when scrolling are displayed with scroll icons). I find it hard to actually use the gunner seat because you never know where you’ll end up by scrolling up or down, so this would be a really nice way of showing where you are, where you can go and overall where all turrets are on your ship and what type they are.
Also, closed turrets would be kind of greyed out.
I guess it could also show the other modules (prod, ref…), even if it’s less useful. That’s up to the devs.

- Turret binding

As of now, you can bind a turret to a gunner seat by using ctrl, and that’ll make it so that each time you use this gunner seat, it will be the first turret you get on, and it also displays some of it’s info on the seat’s light.
So, here’s my suggestion : instead of binding one turret, you could bind up to 9. It works just like on a hotbar : you click a number, and it instantly switches to the turret assigned to that number. To bind a turret, you have to press ctrl AND the number at the same time. The turret bound to the number 1 will be the one to show up first when you get on the seat and the one with the info displayed on the seat.
The number assigned to each turret would be displayed on the drillship overview, so you can clearly, easily and quickly see what number goes where and does what. That would give a lot more flexibility to the gunner seat.
