Allow us to fight cog ships after completing story#920

?

Currently there’s no point in playing after completing the story, because resources stop respawning and no new cog ships spawn, which means eventually you will run out coal.

Let cog ships randomly spawn at a lower density than it was before story completion, so that there’s still a sustainable gameplay after completing the story, even if it’s just for doodling around. Because as it stands right now, there reward of not needing to rush anywhere with volcano eruptions isn’t satisfying if you are robbed with things that you can do, that basically either forces you to start a new game or load up an older save before destroying the last thing in the story.

Well the whole point of destroying the laser in the main volcano is to stop COGs from spawning. You’re trying to free your home island from those robots who started occupying it

I agree with this point. Also, stopping the volcano but still having cogs spawning everywhere could be a good clause for the devs to make a volcanoids 2 or dlc content. And we love love looooooooooooooove good dlc content XD

I’m fine with no new ships spawning but destroying the laser also removes all existing ships and enemies from all areas. It would be nice if those didn’t get deleted so we could fight the remaining COGs until they are all destroyed for good.

I think a nice middle ground could work good here, maybe upon completeing it brings up the options to either have everything stop or have it continue at either an increased rate, a decreased rate, stay the same, or stop entirely.
