COG threat gameflow#1708

After cog-threat was added it’s make me stuck in underground for 6 min if i don’t have weapon to deal with it or if ihave to deak with it, It’s not worth resources invement
To make it’s better to play with you should make COG-meter goes up differrent from eash condintion.
Check your drillship if your drillship is on surface make cog-meter go up faster when your is underground
For after alert effect take off you can make alert effect dissapper faster when hide underground with your drillship becasue after alert effect take off i can’t even find a safe place to recraft my supply in cave that have one burrow hole

I agree it was not well thought. With the new island, there will be changes to it. For the first part, which is now in development, it won’t be used much.

I would like to add, that a failed attempt on a laser, also makes the COG hunt you basically across the entire map. I intentionally used the word FAILED attempt, since it already implies that you had to retreat for one reason or another. The current threat mechanic makes you hide away somewhere, doing nothing but sitting around and wait for the COG Threat to go away, since recovering usually means the use of refineries and factories, which you can only unfold while you’re above ground. I don’t have to say that it’s a pretty bad idea, if your drillship is already in shambles and a spider tank is the first thing that jumps you as soon as you surface.

Maybe hand the COGs the victory. The successfully foiled your attack so there is no reason to remain alert after you left the area.

Alternatively I could see those little ‘pockets’ like Fox Hole or The Little Den, could be truly safe heavens, that prevent the spawn of COGs anywhere around them.
