My idea is to have a drill bot that can be activated underground and he would transport you to the surface something like escape pods.
The concept is to have a possibility to arrive at a dangerous place without having to surface with drill and risking it getting damaged.
Also there could be upgrade to use the gun drone and the shield drone when the drill is underground.
An upgrade to use the gun drone and shield drone when the drill is underground doesn’t physically make any sense- There’s dirt on all sides of the drill. Any module attempting to open would be stopped by the weight of literal tons of dirt, and even if it did manage to shove all the dirt out of the way and open, it would then have a giant pile of dirt fill in on top of it, and it could never close again.
Same reason an escape pod wouldn’t work.
Maybe u are right with the drones but i do not agree with the escape pod. You could make an escape pod on the cealing that could also take some space inside the drill, like a module that would take up place on the inside. You would step into its door and go up by drilling to the surface
