It is not a real boat, but like a drill, you can call to save you from the explosion. You go inside it, and it will protect you from the explosion. It will not send you back to the ship, only protect you from the explosion, and, after that, will be destroyed or not you choose. I think it would be really fragile against shooting, so it is not a super powerful cover against bots

I know it’s a stupid idea, but it’s just an interesting concept. It could take two slots so no one uses it, but it would be kind of funny, I guess

I’m actually against this idea (along with the several similar suggestions already for a drone that will return you to the drillship).

I actually like the idea that if you can’t make it back in time then you need to seek out a basement or similar, or die.

but thats the problem hoe knows how far you ar from a shelter

Every mine is a shelter, and every set of buildings has one with a basement (shelter). It’s very easy to see how far you are from one by simply opening the map.
