As we can place a tesla turret at any location a light can go can we also grt mini turrets that can be placed also an extra layer of defensive options to our core for cogs and pvp when it comes online?

Kinetic weaponry inside your drillship would be a bad idea. It would damage your drillship. MK2 Mini Tesla Turrets would work better.
