difficulty lock removal#1225

please remove the game difficalty lock or have an option to remove the lock under option as some people would like to edite the game settings before starting new and changing the ingame settings in the save file is just not very user frendly.

I hope that somthing would be done real quick as me and my mate have stoped playing the game because of this, it realy hit a nearve seaing this

The lock was introduced since players went to play “hard” on their first playthrough, ignored the message that there is no tutorial and then were coming and asking confused questions about the most basic stuff.

I agree, it should be removed. But the reason of its introduction is rightfully stated above by Martin. There are multiple solutions to this.

1. Make a popup for new players going directly on hard, so that we’re 100% extra sure, totally and entirely certain that they know they are willingly going into the game without tutorial

2. Each time you start a game in hard, you get a popup asking you whether you want quests enabled or not

3. The difficulty lock is removed after completing the tutorial (reaching the “explroe on your own !” screen, which would also be updated to state that the difficulty lock has been removed)

these are the most basic solutions I could think of.

In the meantime, there is a workaround : start a new game, then save it, and then edit the save’s parameters by clicking the gear icon on it.
