TNT, mortar, ammo, etc. balancing#1213

think you could take another look at tool balance? the explosive bundles seem to be completely useless with the one exception of braking modules while already inside the ship and any explosive is just as good as that. like i would not mind if it became more expensive to craft but as it is right now i can brake all the modules in a room if placed right while inside but on the outside i have put like 5 on one module and it did nothing and on a tier 4 cog drill on normal mode (i mostly play solo but i did have two friends in for the drill thing and i know about hp scaling) ive put 35 bundles on the cog drill to keep them from running because when i brake a module they would run away and it still took like 8 shots from the mortar with titan ammo to brake it after those 35 bundles of explosives went off. (was able to sneak under the drills tip and placed them right at the base)

would like to share my thoughts on some of the tools if you would be kind/interested enough to read how a newer player who has only beat the game on normal once (and is trying to do speed run on hard atm) experienced using them.

mortar: i’m mostly happy with it but normal rounds seem just a little underwhelming like it takes a hand grenade to one shot a normal cog while it takes 2 mortars and its just really weird to get a direct shot on a cog and it just gets up and keeps running at me. maybe add a direct hit bonus to mortar rounds? that way you are not using like 12 shots to get into a ship but you also are not braking all the modules with just a few shots.
(i get and agree with the fact that mortar has more range so the hand grenade should deal a little more)

titan rounds seem to be just a little too expensive. like it takes 3-4 shots to brake a module and im ok with that but that’s like 10 titan and 8 diamonds. i have a massive amount of sulfur i got thinking that id need it and non of my tools at end game use it except hand grenades and the one gun powder needed to make 500 gatling rounds. i understand needing high end stuff to make high end gear but no reason we can’t dilute that cost with a little of the lower end stuff also. like everything i need to make just takes a vist to a diamond/titan mine but at the same time i just need so much of it at once for my modules, upgrades, ammo and really we kinda need to rely on titan mortar rounds because all the other options are just too weak to deal with lasers/drills and im tempted to just toss all my other resources away to save room as i never really need them
