Paradropped COGs#1207

Please don’t merge me into ,,New types of COGs#80,,

The idea of the discord so far are:

Military cogs of any rank can paradropfrom either
A: getting dropped from the april fools airship
OR
B: shot from a 3 slot mortar

its recommended to have 2 cogs alwaysx drop at the same time

Now here is my addition:

Q: What happens to the mortar if captured?
A: The mortar counts as a T3 Mortar so maybe it can not only shoot shells but also
the player. if you hover over it from inside your drillship you get the usual
prompt to activate it but also a prompt to get inside.

Q: Where would the airship come from?
A: This goes hand in hand with another idea i had recently..,.
A T3 roof module that works like a landing/launch pad.
if the dev’s implement idea #1013 this could go hand in hand with it…
if not we can make it a launch system from the inside again.

This is less a new type of COG, and more a new way to deploy COGs.
But what would the point of dropping COGs be ? They’re probably going to be easily shootable out of the sky if they’re too close, and if they’re far away, they’ll just have to walk anyways…
We’re getting drones and large drones too, so I’m really not sure what paradropped COGs would do.

The idea would be that they could drop above you and shoot you on the way down (past cover for example)
Also they would not only come from one direction (like the nearest enemy drill ship) and would force you to have defenses all around the drill ship (currently you can just deactivate all defenses on one side cause the enemy will only attack from the other)

It would also come in handy with another idea of mine but I’ll have to work out the problems first before I suggest them
