Stairs#1057

I’ve found that i miss something in my drill recently, a 2nd floor, so I tried to make it but it would have been better to have stairs not only vertical, but diagonal ones as well. I hope you read this since I have been following this project since it was released on steam.

You know what, I think I’m going insane. I was certain we already had stair posts, but apparently not. So I guess you’re becoming the stair post.

As for the actual answer… Here’s this from Tomas, about 3 years ago, when I suggested the stairs from the submarine to be craftable and placeable in your ship. Yeah, things might have changed lol. We’ll see.

tbh I wouldn’t mind if there were stairs added. And I think the problem with movability of stairs is somewhat fixed now, since we have the moving submarine mod.

what I do is I place 1 vertical “chest” near thewall and 1 horizontal “chest” near the other to make my own stairs.

@Martin Thing is, the stairs are moving around, but there’s no players moving around on the moving stairs. That’s what the issue is, it’s things moving on the stairs while the stairs are moving.
Although yes, I imagine that with all the progress they’ve made and the devs they have now, it would be much easier to add than back then.

Agree this would be a great addition to the game. We did not add it till now, cause there are huge probelms with physics. But maybe it’s time to give it another try and see if a new possibility is available after all the refactoring and such. Fingers crossed!
